Marine conservation volunteering helps you protect the underwater way of life and everything that goes with it. So whether you’re into sea turtle conservation, or determined to rid the ocean of plastic pollution, we’ll work together to make it happen. Our combined conservation efforts will do things like keep those underwater coral reefs blossoming all year-round!

Join a teaching abroad program and help children access the education they need for a brighter future. We know that education is essential for breaking down the barriers of poverty and inequality. We see it every day on our Teaching Projects. By joining us on a volunteer teaching placement, you’ll be able to make this change happen yourself!

Volunteer on a Building Project to add important resources to communities that need them most.
Our Building Projects take place in under-resourced countries all over the world. Some are in rural areas, others in cities. You can build homes, schools, daycare centers, sanitation facilities, or community buildings. Some of our projects are based in places affected by natural disasters where communities are still recovering.

In many countries, women are marginalized and are often raised without the ability to speak up. They’re discriminated against in various areas with many women never receiving basic education. Without the opportunity for skills development, women and their families end up in a continuous cycle of poverty.

Volunteer on a Sports Project with Projects Abroad and spend time in your chosen destination helping young people have fun and challenge themselves. Sport has the capacity to change lives. Alongside promoting lifelong health and fitness, sport can offer young people a path towards confidence, self-belief and achievement.

Understanding the past teaches us about our present and our future. With a Projects Abroad Archaeological volunteering project you’ll really get your hands dirty and unearth the clues that teach us about human behaviour in the past and what it means to us now.

If you’re thinking about a future in this field of work, hands-on experience is key. You’ll connect with professionals and get the skills and experiences you need to really understand what archaeology in the field means. You will build your confidence and understanding, and your experiences will give your resume the edge it needs to stand out.

Provide vital volunteer support to refugees who are seeking refuge from adverse living conditions in their home countries. The fear of political violence, or a lack of economic opportunities is a real concern, forcing them to flee and seek assistance in neighbouring countries.
By working with the refugees, you’ll help make their transition into a new country smoother despite all the obstacles put in their path. It’ll give you a deeper understanding of the challenges they face on their way to a better future. You might even find yourself pursuing a career in human rights after seeing their struggles firsthand.

Assisting with the development of these children is a good way to understand the problems they face. Our Youth Development volunteer programs abroad will give you the chance to make a long-term impact on the future of these kids. Your help will improve their confidence as you interact and learn about each other’s cultures.
You’ll stay with local host families and experience what being in a new country is really like. On the days you aren’t working you can explore the city or go on guided tours. You’ll also meet volunteers and other like-minded individuals with whom you can share stories.
